We are now members of ARLA

Herts Lettings Ltd. is now a corporate member of ARLA. This means that we have passed the rigorous vetting procedure imposed by the letting agents' professional body. We have provideded evidence that:

• We protect our client monies correctly,
• we have a good understanding of landlord and tenant law
• We have training, complaints procedures and business development plans that are appropriate for a regulated letting agent
• We operate from premises rates for business rates
• We have an appropriate level of professional indemnity insurance and other insurances,

The great news is that because we are now members of ARLA we may hold tenants deposits as we have in the past. Note that we hold them as stakeholder - i.e. we hold them on behalf of the landlord and tenant and retain them until such a time that landlord and tenant can agree the extent of retentions against cleaning or repairs to the property.
